"Thank you for transforming our very old and tired 1920's four-bedroom house into the stunning five-bedroom family home that it is today. PMD's quote was by far the most detailed and we always knew where we stood on costs throughout the job and, unlike many other builders, did not try to charge us extra for every tiny change. We rebuilt our whole house, taking down more of the old structure than we had originally intended due to unforeseen structural issues. Changes like this were approached calmly and knowledgeably and they came up with practical and cost-effective solutions. Darren, our foreman, was able to translate the architect drawings into reality. He was also a talented carpenter and came up with some innovative ideas during the build. We cannot speak highly enough of Paul and his team. We did not meet a member of his team who wasn't polite, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Paul talked us through the process at every step of the way and came to us with issues only when he already had two possible solutions. The aftercare has also been excellent. If we have had a problem I know that I can still text Paul and he will give advice and help. Paul's desire to do the best possible job for each and every client means we have confidently recommended PMD on many occasions to friends and neighbours."

"Our architect recommended several building companies for us to contact for quotations, all of whom we met in person and later received detailed quotations. Subsequently, we shortlisted two companies and finally chose PMD because it was apparent to us that Paul is passionate about his building projects and treats each one as if it were his own home. We visited several of his projects and we felt confident that Paul would deliver on ours. The building work we required was almost a complete rebuild and extension of a four-bedroom house which we were advised would take approximately 10 months to complete, so we needed a company that we could trust with such a large job and to be able to complete within our timescale. From our first meeting with Paul, we felt comfortable that we would be in safe hands. His professionalism and commitment have been excellent. Paul delivered on everything we asked for and has gone above and beyond to ensure that our project both finished on time and was completed to a very high standard. The building work was started and finished during the two years that the Covid pandemic existed, which in itself created complexities for Paul and his team with regard to building supplies and increasing costs. Paul managed this situation extremely well and ensured that we were kept fully informed at all times and kept to our agreed budget. Tiffany has been a constant source of support throughout the building process by dealing with utility company issues, as well as handling all suppliers and resolving any potential issues. Every fortnight Tiffany provided us with a very detailed invoice so it was always clear to us where we were with regard to the payments required under the contract. Paul's team of specialist tradesmen have all been excellent, very committed and made us feel comfortable on site at all times, and were always happy to assist with our requests. Overall, we couldn't have wished for a smoother, more professional build and it has been a pleasure to work with Paul, Tiffany and the entire team throughout the process. "Throughout the whole project, from pre-engagement to post completion, PMD provided us with exceptional service. Further to putting the construction plans out to tender, Paul was one of the first to respond to our architect, and PMD provided us with a very clear, detailed quote, ensuring we understood everything that was covered. Their quote wasn't the lowest, or the highest, but it was certainly the most detailed and didn't leave any vague areas. We then agreed a start date and project duration to meet our requirements, and Tiffany created all the contractual and H&S documentation ahead of the guys starting on the agreed date. As the project progressed, Paul introduced us to many specialist suppliers for various elements such as kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, AV and lighting that PMD have worked with for many years, and along with them provided great insight and support in the design and finalising of our requirements. The PMD site manager and onsite team always went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with what they were doing, and all take great pride in the work they deliver. All the sub-contractors used — electrical, plumbing and painting — have worked alongside PMD for years and everything was very well coordinated and managed, and all very polite and courteous. We had weekly on-site meetings with Paul as the project developed, and like many clients we changed our requirements in many areas along the way, but nothing was too much trouble and Paul made sure these changes were accommodated. Paul also proactively suggested improvements to certain areas using his experience and expertise. Even with the changed scope, we pushed PMD hard to keep close to the original project duration, and Paul really delivered the additional resource required to make that happen. Communication throughout was exceptional, with Paul and Tiffany both always proactively pushing us if they needed a decision or action from us to keep the project moving, ensuring the specialist suppliers delivered on time and always responding immediately to any contact or questions we had for them. Since completion, any snagging issues have been addressed promptly, and the quality of the build and attention to detail of the finish is exceptional. We would encourage anyone looking at a large-scale renovation or complete build to make contact with PMD. From start to finish it has been an enjoyable renovation experience and we hope to use them again on a future project. Loads of experience, a great team with good family values."

"We have worked with PMD on three previous projects, however the Ridgeway build was a whole new ball game. We had spoken with Paul Dyer from the very early stages before planning had started and already his advice and knowledge proved helpful. Once the design had been set and planning granted, PMD provided a detailed accurate quotation down to the very last nail. We found this to be very helpful as we could begin to budget for the build ahead. We began demolition in November and piling soon after, only to be hit with the wettest winter on record — not an ideal situation, but each day we were updated on progression. Paul set up different chats with each trade (electrics, plumbing, AV, landscape) so we were all on the same page, which is a huge advantage with a large project. Tiffany would always be on hand for any questions either by phone or email regarding payment and invoices, which again were broken down, showing every detail of works carried out. We have built such a strong bond with Paul, not just as a builder but as a family friend, that I would trust PMD to always have our best interests at heart — which is a rare find when building. Darren took the lead when we began internally and his work is of the highest standard. Even in stressful times, Paul was constantly there to help reassure and keep the build ticking along. Paul also contacted each of our neighbours in advance of the build and during the project, keeping them updated of any deliveries that may cause a problem or any works that may disturb the road. This was invaluable as we were able to move in with our neighbours still talking to us. Any building commitment, be it big or small, can be a very daunting task, but I cannot recommend PMD any more highly."
